A tribute to Agraharam^^^

As a citizen of India, I take pride to publish this theory, discovered by me . This law will be popularly known as ” law of culture and tradition”.

According to this theory ,

“The number of trditions in India is directly proportional to the number of traditions or cultures” i.e.,

Population α culture

P = kC

where K is the const with values ranging between 1 to 100.

Meaning there by India has innumerable cultures and traditions . One such culture is the south Indian brahmin culture.

The area of inhabitance of these sets of people are called “Agraharam”. “Agraharam” is a tamil word. It basically means ” a garland of houses” .

For me , “Agraharam ” is a “paradise on earth”. If i had to count best days of my life it will mainly contain those days when i lived in Agraharam. Each Agraharam have one temple, and the main deity there is worshipped with true bakhti.

This bakhti is well reflected by the way they worship. The happenings in and around agraharam during the festive seasons will be awesome,fun-filled and damn colourful. There will be recite big-big mantras and rituals.There will be yagas and many things.

After which comes my favorite time  ” combined feast “. Feast comprises of all sorts of spicy and tasty food. After this feast each one gets their top view diameter increased by a good number. We will have beatle leaves with pan after this feast. This is to improve the digestive powers. There will be “Kacheri” in the evening even. Kacheri literally means performance by carnatic music specialists with south indian instruments namely veena, mridangam, ganjeera etc.

Even during normal days “Agraharam” is fun filled only. There will be chit-chats, gosipings everything. The feeling of oneness in agraharam is damn high. Each one treat their neighbour as their brother or sister only. Everybody knows what happens in the other house and all them of stand united if somebody have some problem.

Every vacation I go to my “agraharam” to get all those pleasures which my father used to get. Days have gone. I am adult now :( . All responsibilities are in my shoulders . It has been 4 long years since i went to my agraharam. I dont know how my father would have felt when he left for job. Had i been in his case i would not have left. If god gives me a boon now , I would defenitely ask for a life in my Agraharam.

But, this culture of  Agraharam is perpetually reducing . Everybody have started moving towards cities. They think the culture of agraharam as a mark of foolishness. For this I have only three words  ” They are Losers “.

I hope i grow older fast for settling in my agraharam with all people. Attaining sharanagati ( fall on feet ) with god.

Agraharam rocks..!!!~!~!
